Friday is a settled day across many parts of New Zealand with remaining showers clearing – but as we head into Saturday a much larger area of low pressure from the Tasman Sea will slowly move in.
Downpours in the upper North Island may be heavy on Saturday morning with patchy lighter showers in both islands.
On Sunday the low moves in closer and continues to bring rain and showers to the North Island and eastern South Island – with Southland, Otago and the West Coast looking drier than average for the week ahead… everyone else looks wetter than average.
By the end of next week this large low finally moves away…just in time for the third large low in a row to roll on in from Australia for the start of December.
