Weather Video: Two big lows, the sub-tropics & the shortest day

It’s a mild and floral Winter Solstice this year – with high temperatures and flowers in full bloom in some parts of the country – and it could well be a record breaker, too.

A large high pressure system is to thank (or blame) for all of this, as it is funneling warm tropical air down from the north across the country.
