Weather Video (Thurs) – September starts with warmth

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have high pressure dominating around the country at the moment but it is slowly slipping away to the north – this will allow sub-tropical air to move down over many regions on Friday with mild weather for many places over the coming days.

The forecast also looks mainly dry but rain is off and on for the West Coast with heavy falls.

Sunday may see a burst of wind and rain for the South Island – but only smaller spillover spits make it to Canterbury at this stage.
