In a nutshell…
This weekend – Showers clear in the South Island as they move into the North Island.  On Sunday sunny or fairly sunny weather expected nationwide.
Next week – looking settled for most of New Zealand thanks to a big high although a low in the sub-tropics is something to watch.

Tropical Storm Don is currently moving towards Texas.  While it may become a hurricane briefly it is expected to make landfall only as a tropical storm – and with the state currently experiencing severe drought conditions the tropical rain storm will be welcomed by most.
