Weather Video: Sunny, frosty weather for School Holidays

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Apart from a few showers lingering on Saturday the school holidays are kicking off in style with a large high rolling in, promising frosts for many areas and clear skies and light winds for the ski fields by Monday at least.

WeatherWatch.co.nz and NZHerald.co.nz team up to bring you the latest forecast – tracking the stormy weather as it clears New Zealand on Friday and Saturday and showing the new high rolling in from Victoria.

We also look at the possibility of a sub-tropical low next week in northern New Zealand – but the models are still unsure so we’ll keep you posted across the weekend.

Finally we Phil talks about Typhoon Ma-On which is heading towards Japan on Wednesday.
