The remnants of ex-cyclone Debbie will now bring tropical downpours into New Zealand after drenching and flooding parts of Queensland.
Rain will be heaviest on Wednesday but from Tuesday to Thursday some regions, like Taranaki, may have well over a months worth of rain.
Much of the lower North Island and upper South Island are exposed to heavy rain – meanwhile gale force winds from all angles are also possible as this system moves in.
