Some rain is on the way – but it’s not an overly wet weekend nationally.

The West Coast is most exposed to rain, so too is Nelson by Sunday, with some spillover into the dry eastern and deep south areas.

While it’s not a drought breaker it will certainly be welcome by many.

Northern and eastern parts of the North Island are likely to have a humid weekend with isolated drizzle and light showers – otherwise mainly dry.
