NZHerald.co.nz and WeatherWatch.co.nz team up to bring you the latest on this developing story – a new band of heavy rain currently forming over the Tasman Sea and heading towards us…slowly.

It’s expected to move over the West Coast on Tuesday, and the upper, central and western parts of the North Island on Wednesday and Thursday.
