Tuesday morning saw thunderstorms across the North Island ahead of a cold change coming tonight in the south and for Wednesday/Thursday elsewhere.
This colder change will drop daytime temperatures below normal for this time of the year in the lower South Island and bring more rain and showers into both islands. However later this week high pressure does finally kick in – bringing dry weather to both islands (perhaps a few showers lingering in a couple regions, yet to be locked in – but possibly Southland again).
We also take a look at Cyclone Owen in the Coral Sea as it weakens – but it may not be finished with us yet.
