The week ahead has a variety of temperatures with some scorching hot days, especially in the east, and some cooler days, especially in the south.
The North Island’s east coast may have highs into the late 20s, even closing in on 30 degrees by Wednesday and Thursday.
Around Thursday and Friday a cooler change moves into the South Island with highs only just making it into the teens.
High pressure dominates the North Island this week while the South Island is more exposed to West Coast rain and east coast cloud.
