Milder westerlies are pushing in across the country this weekend encouraging wetter weather in the west and drier weather in the east. For the most part many regions will be milder than usual both by day and night.
Next week also shapes up fairly mild for the middle of winter with some frosts but nothing too major or widespread.
Later next week there is the chance of a nationwide polar snap, it’s not yet locked in but has been showing up on the models for a number of days now and is worth monitoring.
