The weekend is here and New Zealand has a big beautiful high crossing the country. This high is bringing much lighter winds, much drier conditions but also some foggy areas.
By Sunday the high has gone and is replaced by a cold front moving up the country bringing rain – heavy at times – to the western side of the country and gales (or strong nor’westers) to central areas (mainly Cook Strait).
Next week starts off with a cold southerly but another big high may be coming our way.
