After a beautiful day in much of the North Island, the western side of much of the country has enjoyed a bit of a rest from the unsettled stuff of the past few days.

Wednesday is shaping up for much of the same, though temperatures will stay low, and there will be drizzle and showers in places too.

Srtiously guys, no mention of Snow? Not at all though some snow maps indicating sea level snow and 50cm+ on Thursday..?

always tune in to your herald weather updates Phillip, love em. Curious as to the lack of mention of the potential for big snow as the southerly comes in and undercuts the moist NW on Thursday in the south? looks like it could be big?
