Weather Video: Easter Weekend Weather looks mainly settled – but not completely

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The long range forecast for the long weekend is looking pretty good – but it’s not perfect for all.

Generally speaking high pressure dominates for the four/five day weekend, especially in the North Island.

The South Island is a bit more Autumnal with a cold change on Saturday dropping daytime highs into the low teens for Southland and bringing rain to the West Coast with gusty maybe gale westerlies to the mountains and out east. Then again on Monday another windier day, but this time warmer nor’westers with rain on the West Coast again.

Most main centres in both islands look dry this weekend but a few isolated showers will pop up here and there.
