Philip Duncan and nzherald.co.nz bring you the forecast for the weekend and take a look at conditions coming in next week.  In a nutshell, a good outdoors weekend but next week looks wetter, warmer and windier.

*Please note – WeatherWatch.co.nz forecasters are now predicting a possible cold snap at the end of next week which could see snow to low levels in the South Island around the end of next week.  Too early to give any specific predictions but a risk for snow to sea level is there for Southland and Otago, borderline for Canterbury.  We’ll have more details in the coming days.
