Finally a settled week – at least for the most part – thanks to high pressure crossing New Zealand from the Tasman Sea.
On Tuesday is the only day with an unsettled theme to it thanks to a brief weakening of this high and a weak cold front to push up the South Island.
This front will bring a cooler sou’west wind behind it and a few showers. However by Wednesday the high is back and lingers until the end of the working week increasingly bringing warmer sub-tropical winds to both islands.
This weekend a large complicated area of low pressure looks set to cross the country.
