It’s been a cloudy and wet day across much of the country today but conditions are starting to improve reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.
Apart from Southland many areas saw wet or heavily overcast weather today, with much needed rain again falling in dry areas of the North Island and this time dry parts of the South Island, including Nelson and Marlborough.
Saturday looks set to be a hotter day for many regions with northerlies and less cloud. Humidity levels will again be high in the north.
Meanwhile more rain is coming – fronts should start to move back onto New Zealand from the west tomorrow evening.

How’s it gonna be hotter if there’s less sun 😉
There was already no sun in Auckland today
