Here’s what is making the weather headlines today.
IT’S SETTLED, THAT’S NEWSWORTHY
After the winter we have had so far, it’s nice to have a high pressure system plonked out to our east casting a ridge of high pressure over the country. This is resulting in a settled day but there is a few showers for northeastern parts of the North Island and the West Coast, the western North Island and eastern South Island have very nice weather today.
WARMING UP IN THE EAST TOMORROW
Temperatures for eastern New Zealand lift into the late teens on Wednesday, similar temperatures occur again on Thursday, thanks to a north to northwesterly airflow. Enjoy!
NEXT LOW STILL DUE ON 5th SEPTEMBER
A low pressure system still looks to move onto the North Island from the northwest on Monday 5th September. Heavy rain and strong winds for the upper North Island may be on the cards.
