Here’s what is making the weather headlines today.

RAIN FOR THE WEST COAST BECOMING HEAVIER FRIDAY

South of Greymouth expect rain today, rain may be heavy. Tomorrow rain becomes heavier on the coast.

GETTING INTO THE TWENTIES

Warm temperatures in the east today, reaching into the early twenties for the eastern South Island, Canterbury specifically. Enjoy!

LOW STILL DUE AROUND THE 5TH SEPTEMBER

A low still looks to move in from the northwest around the 5th September, perhaps a little later in the day now. Some heavy rain for the upper North Island still looks to be on the cards and perhaps strong winds, mainly coming in from the southeast later in the day and into Tuesday.
