WEATHER ON SUNDAY
A ridge of high pressure continues to lie over the South Island meanwhile rain still affects the north.
Rain or showers for most North Island regions, conditions will be quite humid. Downpours and thunderstorms possible. Winds coming in from the northeast. Northland looks to escape heavy rain during the day but overnight rain may pick up, conversely the east coast sees conditions ease overnight.
Mostly sunny for the lower South Island, the upper South Island has some cloud with a few showers, perhaps some rain about Nelson and Marlborough. Cloud pushes down along the east coast this afternoon or evening from further north. Winds mainly light tending onshore.
