Fathers Day is here and the weather is looking quite settled, apart from a rogue shower which is forecast to be gone for most places by this afternoon.
It’ll be a crisp start for many areas so breakfast in bed could be the way to go, then by mid morning temperatures should be climbing and by this afternoon conditions for the most part will be quite pleasant.
The far south may see the most showers in the country this morning but should ease and dry up by just after lunch. Any patchy light showers in the north this morning are also expected to evaporate and perhaps by later this morning most should have cleared out.
Yesterday more showers fell over the Auckland region than we expected and for those who saw the Warriors win at Mt Smart stadium last night, showers peppered the game off and on which made conditions unpleasant for spectators and greasy for the players. For those hardy souls attending, hopefully the win by the home side was certainly worth the effort.
Conditions were drier overall in Hamilton last night and Canterbury took the ITM Cup final with a 12-3 win over Waikato.
We’re just 5 days away from the World Cup opener in Eden Park, Auckland and we’ll be keeping you up with the play in regards to weather with our first updates starting this week.
