WeatherWatch.co.nz brings you the weather forecast for Christchurch and other main centres as Christchurch memorial services get underway.
Christchurch
Weather: Sunny and warm with a high in the low 20s and light winds from the north east. The service starts at 12:30pm but there will be live music in the morning leading up to the service.
Listen On Air: NewstalkZB will have uninterrupted coverage live from Christchurch.
The Mike Hosking Breakfast show will be broadcast live from Christchurch with Paul Holmes and Mike Yardley covering the service between 12:30pm and approximately 3pm. Danny Watson will also broadcast live from Christchurch.

Auckland:
Weather: Conditions look a bit unsettled with showers developing into the afternoon and may even turn to a brief period of light rain. It will be warm though with the temperature in the low 20s at 7pm and winds will be breezy from the north west.
In Auckland a service will be held at the Cenotaph at the Auckland Domain at 7pm. Aucklanders who attend the hour-long service will be encouraged to light candles and lay flowers at the Cenotaph after the ceremony.
Transport: Free buses will run from Customs Street outside the Mercure Hotel in the CBD every 10 minutes from 5.30pm until 7pm.
After the service, shuttles will depart from the domain from 8pm until 9pm, travelling across Grafton Bridge, K Road, Queen St and Customs St. They will drop off passengers at bus stops along this route.
Wellington:
Weather: Blustery nor’westers will be blowing but conditions should be mostly dry and mild with a high in the low 20s – however this service will be held indoors.
In Wellington, the National Memorial Service will be screened live in the TSB Bank Arena at Queens Wharf. Doors open at 12pm. There will be two minutes’ silence at 12.51pm.
Dunedin:
Weather: A late southerly could bring in a couple of showers to Dunedin for the 7pm service – however the service is indoors.
In Dunedin there will also be a memorial service at Knox Church, on George St from 7pm.

Isnt Christchurch also using 1017KHz and 106.5 (Haurakis frequency) for ZB to cover marshlands and sumner respecivelly.
