Here at WeatherWatch.co.nz we have a “wet got it wrong” policy. Luckily we don’t seem to have to use it too often but today is certainly one of those days.
For several days we had been predicting showers in Auckland today but, for those in Auckland, it’s been a relatively pleasant day with breezy northerlies developing and a mix of sun and cloud.
“The data we had indicated that the low in the Tasman would bring showers down in to Auckland” says WeatherWatch.co.nz “Those showers are across Northland but haven’t penetrated any further south”.
Across New Zealand conditions remain relatively settled and dry today thanks to high air pressure.
Wetter weather is expected everywhere in to the new week as a complex low moves across the country.
WeatherWatch.co.nz forecasters are also keeping a close eye on a storm spreading in to south east Australia which may impact New Zealand mid-week with a cold blast in the south and rain or showers elsewhere.
