The weekend is basically frost free as some areas see a 20+ degree jump in overnight lows thanks to a westerly wind flow across New Zealand.
Rain is most likely in Fiordland and will spread to nearby regions at times – meanwhile eastern areas will be warmest, sunniest and driest.
Northern NZ may see a few showers, mostly off the Tasman – but conditions are still expected to mainly dry.
