Warm in the north and east, showers out west

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It has been another cracker day in Canterbury, winds have been light. There was even an interesting trail of fog across part of Christchurch this morning, the city eventually warmed up to 20 degrees.

The warmest spot has been the east coast of the North Island with temperatures ranging between 22 and 23 degrees.

About Bay Of Plenty, Auckland and further northwards conditions haven’t been cold however these regions have been peppered by the odd shower during the day. New Plymouth has been quite windy with strong westerlies up to 43 kph on average at times.

Look for a repeat tomorrow however this time the North Island should be more drier out west, temperatures in the east look set to be nice and warm once again.
