Waitangi Day: A similar set up to Monday with high pressure over the North Island but those hotter, windier, nor’westers move further up the country lifting temperatures more in the upper South Island and eastern and northern North Island.

Rain, heavy at times, sets into Fiordland with cloudier weather spreading over parts of Southland and Otago, otherwise dry everywhere else.

Waitangi itself: Sunny, light winds / sea breezes. 24c on the coastline, 27c inland. Perfect!
