NZ has milder northerlies on the way while Aussie’s south east has more wintry southerlies.
The set up means the West Coast of NZ’s South Island will be in for some heavy rain with at least 400mm on the way from Saturday to Wednesday.
A cold frosty night is on the way tonight in southern NZ but by Monday mild sub-tropical northerlies move in, while high pressure dominates the North Island.
