Video: Your Guy Fawkes & weekend weather forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Philip Duncan and nzherald.co.nz team up to bring you the latest weather forecast for Guy Fawkes Weekend as we track the rough weather.  At this stage it looks windy and showery for the bottom half of the South Island and for the West Coast.  It may also be a bit windy around Auckland and Wellington.

If you’re planning on delaying your celebrations until Sunday conditions may not be a huge amount better – although Sunday does look drier.

We also touch on the cold snap that’s today hitting Southland and Otago – but warmer weather is on the way by Sunday.

Plus we take a look at next week – with a high to the north and windy westerlies for the lower two thirds of NZ.
