The Southern Ocean is stormy and high pressure is mostly to the north and east of New Zealand, this encourages plenty of windy weather in the New Zealand area – but also right along Australia’s southern coastline from south of Perth to around Melbourne and over to NZ.
We track the rain, the snow, the gales – and the odd calm, dry, day too – as we look at NZ and Australia’s weather patterns through until Saturday.
