A low in the Tasman Sea will bring a burst of rain and snow to parts of NZ over the next 48 hours while a huge high pressure zone moves into Australia.
The high in Australia has a southerly flow from the Southern Ocean, northwards right across Australia and into Papua New Guinea!
This colder southerly flow will reach NZ this weekend but before it does so, a low in the Tasman Sea will move over us.
Rainfall totals aren’t huge for most places – but following recent rain there may still be a few slips here and there. Snow on the Southern Alps may reach 50cm on the summit of the mountains. Full details through to Monday…
