The remnants of ex-cyclone Debbie are going to drift towards New Zealand this weekend but the main feature over Saturday and Sunday will be rain moving into the West Coast with heavy falls on Sunday and a colder change moving up the South Island, also on Sunday.
Saturday will be fairly cloudy with humid northerly quarter winds for many with showers and drizzle patches in the Far North drifting south on Sunday. Sunny spells in the mix too.
Next week is interesting – the remnants of ex-Cyclone Debbie will work with a humid sub-tropical airflow to pull in heavy rain to central and northern parts of New Zealand as well as drizzle patches and low cloud.
Queensland’s #BigWet may well spread over big parts of New Zealand from Monday to Thursday next week bringing, once again, a risk of flooding.
