Gales and areas of heavy rain are returning to the upper North Island, but it’s a slightly different set-up to last Friday, meaning new areas may be more exposed to slips and flooding (and some areas impacted last week too).
Over the next 24 hours the North Island in particular has a number of rain and wind risks, but then conditions ease.
As we head into – and through – the upcoming long weekend, the upper North Island will see plenty of dry spells – but a few showers are still possible. Severe weather risks this long weekend look more likely in the South Island than the north of NZ.
