High pressure from Australia will calm the weather down in NZ a fair bit in most places over the next couple of days but a storm in the sub-tropics will be developing this weekend and lingering near the upper North Island for this weekend and all of next week bringing a few eastern showers (good news) but blustery conditions in many other places.
The South Island is dominated by high pressure for the most part.
