A southerly change is spreading northwards today and will bring a wintry Tuesday to inland and southern parts of the South Island.
It’s windy in many other places with plenty of westerly showers. Another weaker cold front arrives on Friday.
This weekend a sub-tropical low will compete with a powerful high near Tasmania and may bring in severe winds for northern NZ (not locked in). Then early next week all eyes are on the Southern Ocean as a polar southerly tries to kick in – one to monitor.
