La Nina weather patterns seem to be waking up in the NZ area with a deluge coming for the West Coast and Nelson area with spillover into Marlborough and Canterbury over the next four days.
The North Island misses out on the bulk of this rain for now – but from this Sunday and across next week the North Island also has heavy rain chances.

Hi Phillip, no mention at all of the SI Westcoast drought? A far more unusual weather pattern for that part of the country than the North Island at this time of year. Good to finally hear that the rain coming is significant, however disappointing to not have it acknowledged.

no not rearly you and other places have been getting too much rain in recent years so it will dry out one day
