More heavy rain is still to fall across parts of NZ while Australia has windy westerlies right along the southern coastline turning cooler southerly in Melbourne and Hobart this weekend.
That cooler air will reach NZ slowly over the weekend and the start of next week – nothing major but a drop from the tropical airflows we have now.
Plenty more rain is on the way for Nelson and Takaka and Golden Bay area – also the West Coast, Mt Taranaki and Northland. We track the rain and where the highs and lows will be placed over the coming 5 days.

Hi Janet – your local WeatherWatch.co.nz or RuralWeather.co.nz forecast has not just hourly and daily rainfall totals, but they are prepared specifically for where you are…#HyperLocal – much more detailed than the generic rain maps we show in the videos. 🙂
