The polar blast is over but high pressure rolling in will bring colder nights with frosts in both islands – as far north as Auckland.
The high will bring milder daytime weather due to more sun and those southerlies fading out, but the clear skies and light winds means overnight lows will be down for the next few nights in particular.
By the weekend the high shifts a little further east – not much change to the weather but slightly warmer winds will be coming info for early next week.
