A mostly dry weekend is on the cards for New Zealand but we have bands of rain heading our way — starting in the deep south of the West Coast rain will slowly spread up the western coastline across Saturday and Sunday. Showers may affect Gisborne and East Cape — with one or two isolated showers elsewhere. Warmer weather is also coming in for the east — before a wetter southerly change for both islands.
