New Zealand has a wintry blast moving up the nation today and Saturday but another polar change may be on the way next week as a powerful high pressure zone over Tasmania dominates the weather patterns across our part of the world.
In fact, this giant high will also impact most of Australia, bringing mild northerlies to WA and more wet weather along the eastern side, especially QLD.
Meanwhile, on Friday the out-of-season Tropical Cyclone Gina remains over Vanuatu, near Port Vila this morning. The storm is 3 weeks outside of the finish of the cyclone season and remains a low level Category 1 storm. It’s likely to fall apart this weekend – but the remnants of the low are worth monitoring next week.
We have the NZ, Australia and South Pacific forecast to Wednesday next week. Have a great weekend!
