It’s windy around NZ for another few days but high pressure is building in northern regions and will help encourage a warmer, sub-tropical, airflow in the days ahead for the North Island.
This will boost temperatures in many northern and eastern areas from the low to mid 20s to the late 20s or even early 30s inland for eastern areas this weekend.
But the South Island is more unsettled with a couple of fronts and surges of windy weather. It’s a fairly classic El Nino set-up around NZ for the coming days.
