A surge of windy weather followed by a cold snap is on the way for the south eastern corner of Australia and the South Island of New Zealand – with more heavy rain for the Upper South Island.
Windy weather will cover both countries for a time both this weekend and again next week, although Saturday in New Zealand looks fairly calm with high pressure in charge.
