VIDEO: New Weekly Feature – 7 Day Pacific Islands forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The quieter weather around the Pacific Ocean continues this week but the cyclone season is only around the corner, kicking off on November 1.

The forecast for the South Pacific Islands over the coming week looks fairly quiet as high pressure near NZ and the Tasman Sea helps dry things out further in the tropics.

We also take a look at Hawaii and conditions around the Northern Hemisphere – also in a quieter phase following the recent wild fires and nearby hurricanes.

Our new feature also includes a 7 day Rainfall Map for the Pacific Ocean area – a great way to, at a glance, be able to see which areas are wettest and driest over the weekend. Sometimes it can be hard to tell just how wet it will be with so many tropical showers each week.

A 7 day weather forecast may look very wet with all the rain icons but our 7 day upcoming rainfall map is a great way to make sense of all those frequent showers and which areas are truly most exposed and which areas are not.
