nzherald.co.nz and head weather analyst Philip Duncan bring you the latest on the fantastic early Autumn weather across much of New Zealand – but the deep south is in for a period of wind and rain or showers over the next day or two.
From Canterbury northwards dry weather should prevail although winds will pick up around the Southern Alps and central NZ – mainly Wellington.
By Thurdays the high regains control but a new low, expected to form off the coast of Cape Reinga on Sunday will see the rain clouds – and winds – return to the north.
