VIDEO: Hurricane Andrew 1992

It will be the 20 year anniversary next year since Hurricane Andrew caused billions of dollars worth of damage in the US.

August 24,1992 (the same week Canterbury experienced a severe snowstorm) saw frightening images for one of the first times on TV.
Live storm coverage got underway on the Weather Channel and we’ve included a clip from this damaging weather event.

Wasnt the “Big snow” August 27th-28th,though there was another snow event earlier event in July?

Hi SW,

There was one in July but not as severe.

August 24(not 14 as that was a typo) in the States was H.Andrew and 27/28 was the snowy event in Canty.
