High pressure is dominating NZ but this weekend this powerful anticyclone finally moves eastwards and allows a sub-tropical, mild and showery northerly flow over the country.
The West Coast has heavy rain from later on Saturday and across Sunday with over 100mm possible.
Elsewhere, NZ leans drier than usual but some patchy rain and showers on Monday are forecast for the North Island.
Meanwhile both south western and south eastern sides of Australia have rain makers this week and again next week.
