VIDEO: Heavy West Coast rain coming, milder northerly for many regions

> From the WeatherWatch archives

As a big high pressure system moves east of NZ it will pull down a mild, sub-tropical flow (for some) this weekend and into early next week. This means a big jump in our overnight temperatures.

Meanwhile a couple of lows in the south eastern side of Aussie will reach NZ eventually in the week ahead – bringing high rainfall totals to our West Coast but keeping eastern areas mainly dry – although a little will spillover into the east.

We have the forecast for the weekend and right through to Thursday next week.
