Low after low from the Tasman Sea will affect NZ in the week ahead, bringing over 100mm to a number of regions in both islands.
Almost every part of the country will get rain – although some in the east will have lower totals, most places will get a soaking at some point with northern and western sides of both main islands looking most exposed.
Strong winds will also be in the mix at times – from all directions basically.
Australia has a drier pattern compared to the past week – and a colder one in the south east with plenty of southerly winds coming up.
