The weather is easing around NZ with a cold night ahead nationwide, the North Island especially colder than normal overnight.

But Friday sees a warm up by day – which continues on into the weekend.

Next week high pressure dominants – but a low with sub-tropical connections may bring further rain to the upper North Island late next week or next weekend (8 or 9 days from now).
