The huge belt of high pressure continues to affect NZ but it’s bringing some gloomy weather to the west, sunny weather in the east and above normal daytime temperatures in both islands.
This trend continues all week with the high transition from west of NZ to east of NZ this weekend and that encourages a new easterly flow for the upper North Island and a more sub-tropical or Aussie wind flow further south.
This mild weather continues through until early to mid next week – but we may then be dealing with a couple of large lows. One to monitor.
