VIDEO: Colder nights start this week but sub-tropical winds end the week for some

Another huge area of high pressure is coming in to the New Zealand area from Australia and will bring a cooler southerly flow for the next 48 hours, then light winds, before sub-tropical breezes kick in late week for the South Island.

High pressure looks set to dominate NZ for the next week ahead with showers here and there over the coming 48 hours.

Next week a low in the Tasman Sea will come our way – but will it look bigger than it really is?
